About the Assembly
The Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) are the highest political and administrative authorities in their areas. Created under Ghana's decentralisation framework, they are responsible for the overall development and service delivery to residents nationwide.
Property rates are a key source of internally generated funds (IGF) that empower the Assembly to deliver local services without waiting on central government transfers. When you pay your rates, you invest directly in your own community.
